Chocks Away! Geoff Has Passed His Drone Flight Test

He’s gone and done it! On Friday 30th June, Geoff passed the third and final part of the Drone Flight Test.

Having already passed the Theory Exam after two days training, and passed his written 48 page Operations Manual, everything has now been presented to the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) who will assess Geoff’s application and – fingers crossed! – grant him a PfCO (Permission for Commercial Operations) in August.

With the PfCO, Geoff will be able to charge for commercial Drone flying, providing an even more immersive experience to Orbitance scans, where buyers can view homes aerially from all angles. In the mean time, Orbitance is happy to include Drone work for FREE!

What was the inspiration?

Geoff: I was a photographer for 20 years. When I saw the Matterport camera I knew this was a new way to see the old familiar.

Jon: We were beginning to source properties for other people through our property development company and had started to create short videos to showcase to investors.
